JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida men's basketball head coach Matthew Driscoll announced the addition of graduate transfer Devin Hines to the 2025-26 roster on Tuesday.Â
Â
Hines spent the last four seasons at Lafayette from 2021-25, where he averaged 9.9 points in 22.4 minutes per game over eight starts in 2024-25. He posted 10 or more points in five of the eight games last season, which included a 17-point performance at La Salle on Nov. 9. Hines has ranked top-four on the team in scoring each of the last two seasons.Â
Â
Hines was named to the 2023-24 All-Patriot League Third Team after he started 29 of 30 games, in which he averaged a team-high 9.8 points, 1.4Â assists and 3.9Â rebounds in 27.6 minutes. He posted a career-high 20 points at American on Feb. 17.Â
Â
"Devin Hines is one of those individuals that continuously checks the boxes more and more as you grow in the relationship," Driscoll said. "He is dedicated to his academics and off the floor endeavors, in addition to the fact that his game has so many levels with his ability to score, share the sugar, rebound and defend physically, which makes him a no-brainer for our program. He has an amazing spirit, genuinely cares for not only his teammates, but people in all walks of life and has developed a staunch work ethic that like others understand that will always bring you profit."
Â
A West Palm Beach, Fla. native, Hines played at St. Andrew's High School, where he won a 2020 FHSAA 3A State Championship.Â
Â
North Florida continues to build its 2025 class that includes high school additions Benjamin Plummer, Trey Cady, Gabriel Jacobs and Mason Watkins and transfer Kent Jackson.
