
Track & Field Set To Host East Coast Relays

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida track & field is set to host the third-annual East Coast Relays to close out its regular season schedule from May 2-3 in Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.
The Ospreys will be honoring 13 seniors during Saturday's events at 12 p.m., in Hodges Stadium. Aidan O'Gorman, Robert Pedroza, Seth Martinez, Gavin O'Brien, Onix Ortiz, Ladarius Tellis, Kameron Wallizada and Jacob Hippo will be recognized on the men's side. Smilla Kolbe, Isa Leen, Emma Jane O'Gorman, Emma Millson and Ines Arqued will be recognized on the women's side.
The running events on Friday, May 2, will start at 6 p.m., with the 400m hurdles and will conclude after the 5000m races that start at 9:10 p.m. Field events will begin at 2 p.m., with the hammer, pole vault, high jump, long jump and shot put going for the men and the shot put, hammer, long jump and pole vault for the women.
On Saturday, May 3, the running events resume at 9 a.m. with more hurdles action and will go through 3:30 p.m., with the 4x400m relays. The discus, javelin, triple jump and high jump will conclude the field events starting at 11 a.m.
Osprey athletes to look out for that will be competing this weekend includes Aidan O'Gorman, Robert Pedroza, Ilias El Khattabi and Rey Hernandez for the men and Smilla Kolbe and Shepherd for the women. They each rank among the top 50 in their respective events headlined by O'Gorman ranking fifth in the 10,000m and Kolbe standing in sixth for the 800m.
This will be one of three meets that the Ospreys will be hosting at Visit Jax Track over the course of this month. After the East Coast Relays, UNF will host the ASUN Outdoor Championships from May 15-17, followed with the NCAA East Region First Round from May 28-31.
