Softball Finishes Season Sweep of Stetson in Run-Rule Fashion, 9-0

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball earned its fourth consecutive sweep in conference play in walk-off, run-rule fashion against Stetson, 9-0, in five innings on Sunday afternoon at UNF Softball Complex.

The Ospreys poured on the Hatters early with five runs in the opening frame. Grace Shaw-Rockey scored a pair of runs with an RBI single, followed with a double from Culp to score Shaw-Rockey from first base.

Hadlee Reichert beat out a throw from shortstop to first to score Culp and extend the lead to four runs. The second triple of the weekend from Mackenzie Woods put UNF up 5-0 to set a comfortable margin early.

Shaw-Rockey struck again with an RBI triple for the second of the game by an Osprey. Marley Nagy notched a pinch-hit single to score the seventh run of the game.

Six substitutions were made throughout the later innings of the game after UNF built its lead against the Hatters. After a single from Reichert to get on base, Amanda Aardema ended the game with two outs on a walk-off homer for the first of her collegiate career to end the game in five.
