JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida baseball comes off their series road win against West Georgia to continue its road stretch with a non-conference battle against South Carolina on Tuesday, April 22, in Columbia, S.C.

The non-conference broadcast will be streamed on SEC Network Plus. Updates will be made through live stats, as well as on X/Twitter at @OspreyBSB and Instagram at @OspreysBSB.

"Ring 'Em Up" Ross
Will Ross has been a consistent starter this season for head coach Joe Mercadante and currently has the ninth lowest ERA in the ASUN conference. From February 22-April 3, Ross recorded six straight outings of atleast five innings of work. He has won five games this season, including three in conference plays. Against the ASUN, Ross has won games against Jacksonville, Queens, and FGCU. The most drastic change from 2024 to 2025 has been his strikeout numbers. Ross punched out nine batters in 19 innings last year. In 50.2 innings this season, the Winter Garden, Fla. native has struckout 40.

On-Base Machine
Nick Monile continues to be one of the toughest hitters in the ASUN to keep off the bases. Since Monile arrived in Jacksonville, he has started all but one game this season for Joe Mercadante. The Osprey center fielder has reached base safely in 38 of 40 games played this season, recording a hit in 31 of the contests. While he has only recorded 12 RBIs, Monile has been a table setter at the top of the lineup, and he leads the 'Spreys in runs (36). Against West Georgia, Monile tallied four hits and five runs scored over the three game series.

Alford SMASH!!!
Freshman Seth Alford has found himself starting consistently for UNF. The infielder has found his stride and his numbers show it. Against Stetson on April 11, Alford went 3-3 with a home run and two RBIs. In a midweek matchup with UCF, Alford tied the game in the ninth on a solo home run. He currently leads the Ospreys in HRs (5) From April 6-11, Alford tallied seven hits in three contests.

Conference Cade
Cade Bush has been red hot at the plate since ASUN play began! Bush is hitting .400 in ASUN play. He has hit safely in 14 games and has reached in all but two game played thus far. Against Queens, Bush drove in multiple RBIs in each game of the weekend series and cracked his first ASUN home run of the season. He tallied five hits in game one against West Georgia and has 28 hits against ASUN opponents.

Terrific Treichel
Bryson Treichel has been an instant impact pitcher for Joe Mercadante. While he did not start the season in the rotation, he soon found himself comfortable in the Saturday starter role. Treichel has struck out 58 batters, good for fourth in the ASUN so far. The righty has struck out at least six batters in five of his last six starts.
