First Ospreys Honored in Program History
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's swimming's Ashley Kephart and Victoria Torres were both honored with selections to the 2024-25 Women's Academic All-ASUN Team as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.Â
Kephart and Torres become the first Ospreys in program history to be named to the Academic All-ASUN Team after the conference announced swimming and diving as sponsored sports back in 2023.Â
"This is a great honor for Ashley and Victoria," said head coach Ian Coffey. "Both work extremely hard in the pool and the classroom and I am proud of both of them for being recognized by the ASUN".
Kephart arguably had the best season of her collegiate career, recently breaking the school record for the 50-yard freestyle at the 2025 ASUN Championships with a time of 23.48. She also contributed to breaking school records for the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard medley relay this competition season.Â
The Sanford, Fla. native recorded a total of four top-ten program times on the year.She currently boasts a GPA of 4.0 while pursuing her master's degree in Health Administration and Health Informatics.Â
Torres continued to shine in her third year with the Ospreys, contributing to two school records, helping break the 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay records during the competition season. She also tallied four top-ten program times on the year, while leading the team in first-place finishes with eight total between individual and group races.Â
The Pembroke Pines, Fla. native currently maintains a 3.96 GPA while pursuing her bachelor's degree in Information Systems.Â
The Ospreys are set to conclude the 24-25 competition season at the National Invitational Championships from March 13-15 hosted at the Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training Facility in Ocala, Fla.
