JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida women's tennis cruises past Rider, 7-0, at UNF Tennis Complex on Friday.

The Ospreys have won five-straight matches, four of which have come at home.Â

North Florida earned the initial point in doubles action with wins at the top two lines. Junior Laurie Barendse and redshirt junior Anslee Long made quick work with a 6-0 win on two before Rider responded with a win on three. The doubles point was clinched when freshman Nicole Alfaro Solis and redshirt junior Isabel Oliveira secured a 6-2 win at the one slot.Â

The back-and-forth action from doubles halted when the Ospreys secured dominant straight-set wins on each court in singles action. Long turned in a 6-1, 6-1 win on four before sophomore Alisa Lyshko added a 6-3, 6-2 win on six. In the two slot, freshman Aryana Bartlett posted a 6-0, 6-2 win. Junior Jasmin Makela carded a 6-2, 6-1 win in the five spot and Alfaro Solis won 6-4, 6-4 on the five line.Â

The sweep was secured when Barendse won 7-6, 6-2 at the top position.Â
