
Track & Field Set to Compete at Celebration Pointe Indoor Classic

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida track and field will take the stage for their regular season indoor finale at the Celebration Pointe Classic in on Friday, Feb. 7, in Gainesville, Fla.
Last week, the Ospreys dominated the ASUN awards with Aidan O'Gorman and Smilla Kolbe both earning ASUN Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors, as announced by the league last Wednesday.

The Ospreys will close out their indoor season at the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championships from Feb. 27-28 in Louisville, Ky.

Men's Squad
- Aidan O'Gorman's recognition also marks the 15th all-time indoor track weekly award for North Florida.
- Rey Hernandez secured a strong third-place finish in the 400m with a time of 49.22.
- Robert Pedroza placed second with a time of 4:08.20 in the one mile.
- Seth Martinez secured a fourth-place finish in the 3000m, clocking a time of 8:17.68.
Women's Squad
- Smilla Kolbe broke her third program record on the year in the 800m with a mark of 2:03.22.
- Nicole Shepherd delivered a strong performance in the high jump, clearing 1.65m to earn a fourth-place finish.
- Gabby Johnson placed sixth with an impressive time of 57.31 in the 400m, contributing to the team's strong sprints performance.
- Emma Jane O'Gorman and Ana Markovina delivered standout performances in the mile event, claiming second and third-place overall.
