
No. 19 Beach Volleyball Hosts DUUUVAL Duals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 19-ranked North Florida beach volleyball hosts the DUUUVAL Duals at The Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28-29. The DUUUVAL Duals will be the initial of three home duals that will be held at Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex this season.
In addition to host North Florida, the five-team field includes crosstown rival Jacksonville, Mercer, Chattanooga and Saint Leo. North Florida will face Mercer at 10 a.m. and Saint Leo at 4 p.m. on Friday. North Florida will then battle Chattanooga at 12 p.m. and Jacksonville at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
North Florida opened its 2025 run with four dual wins at the Dolphins Duals last weekend, held at Jacksonville's Payne Sand Volleyball Courts. The Ospreys secured wins on 17 of the 20 courts over the four matches – 16 of which came straight sets.
Junior Presley Murray, junior Madison Espy and sophomore Cameron Humphries earned 2025 Preseason All-ASUN Team honors prior to the season. The three preseason honorees are the most of any conference school and the most under head coach Doug Wright, who is in his fourth season at the helm. It marked the fourth-straight season under Wright that multiple Ospreys have captured Preseason All-ASUN Team accolades.
Murray was tabbed a unanimous preseason selection, one of four players to earn this distinction. It marked the second-straight season that Murray was named a unanimous selection, and that Murray and Espy were selected to the preseason list.
North Florida was ranked No. 18 in the 2025 Preseason AVCA Collegiate Beach Coaches Top 20 Poll. It marks the first time in program history that North Florida was ranked in the preseason edition of the poll and the eighth time that the program earned a spot in the poll. The Ospreys checked in at No. 19 in the week one edition of the poll on Tuesday.
North Florida tied a program-record 25 wins and captured the ASUN Championship, the sixth in program history, in 2024. UNF landed No. 16 overall in the final AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball poll on May 7, 2024, the highest ranking in program history, and earned the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance and win at the 2024 National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship.
