JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Basketball Head Coach Bobby Kennen announced Friday the signing of Isaiah Brown, a 6-foot-10 forward out of Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.Â
Â
"We're extremely excited to welcome Isaiah and his family into the Osprey family," Kennen said. "Isaiah is first and foremost a winner. He is a key component of the 2024-25 FHSAA Class 4A State Champion Stranahan High School, in addition to one of the premier travel teams in the country in SOH Elite. He is a high character, high motor physically gifted forward whom Osprey fans will love. He is only beginning to scratch the surface of his immense potential. He has the work ethic, desire and determination to blossom at North Florida. As I transitioned to lead our program, I immediately identified Isaiah as a young man I wanted to coach. I couldn't be happier Isaiah, his family and his coaches trusted us to help him reach his goals and dreams on the court, in the classroom and in life."
Â
Brown averaged 6.5 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game in his junior season at Stranahan. He scored the game-winning basket to lead Stranahan to a 2024-25 FHSAA Class 4A State Championship title.Â
Â
He is ranked as a top-50 prospect and top-10 forward in the state of Florida by Prep Hoops. He played club for SOH Elite on the Under Armour Circuit.
Brown joins Christopher Perry (Bradwell Institute, Hinesville, Ga.) and Asa Kohn (Hagerty High School, Oviedo, Fla.) in North Florida's 2026 signing class.
