
Granitur Named ASUN Player Of The Week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Redshirt senior forward Luc Granitur was named ASUN Player of the Week on Monday.Â
It marked the conference-best eighth ASUN Conference weekly honor of the season for North Florida. Granitur has earned the honor twice this season after he was tabbed with the distinction on Sept. 8.
"I'm so happy for Luc [Granitur] to receive this honor," Head Coach Jamie Davies said. "He's one of the most selfless players on this team and gives everything for North Florida; to get an individual award is the icing on the cake for a player that puts his team first!"

Granitur notched a game winner against Florida Gulf Coast in a 2-1 win on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Hodges Stadium. The game winner in the 83rd minute helped North Florida earn its seventh-straight win, which is the program's longest unbeaten and win streak of the Division I era. North Florida has outscored its opponents 23-3 in the last seven matches. It marked the fourth goal of the season and the 11th goal of his career for Granitur. It also marked the second game winner of his career.
North Florida concludes its non-conference schedule when it travels to battle College of Charleston on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point at 6 p.m.
