
Natoli, Rios Collect ASUN Weekly Honors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Soccer redshirt junior goalkeeper Luciano Natoli and sophomore defender Rafa Rios earned ASUN Conference Weekly honors on Monday.Â

North Florida has now totaled a conference-best 10 ASUN weekly honors this season.Â

Rios collected ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career. Natoli has earned ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week honors four times this season and five for his career.Â

North Florida remained unbeaten in ASUN Conference action and extended its win streak to nine-straight matches. The nine-straight wins mark the program's longest unbeaten and win streak in program history – regardless of division. The nine-straight wins are also the second-longest win streak in the nation.

Natoli totaled four saves and played the full time in both matches in two shutout wins. Natoli posted three saves in a 3-0 win at College of Charleston on Oct. 7 and added save in a 3-0 win against Stetson at Hodges Stadium on Oct. 11. Natoli has recorded seven shutouts this season, which are a single-season program record, and a shutout in three of the last four matches. Natoli leads the conference in goals against average, save percentage and shutouts.

Rios posted a goal and led a backline that posted a pair of shutout wins. He played the full time in both matches. Rios played the full time and scored the game winner with his first collegiate goal in the 30th minute at College of Charleston on Oct. 7 and played the full time against Stetson on Oct. 11. Rios has played the full time in seven-straight matches and eight matches this season.
