JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida track and field continues its start to the indoor track & field season this weekend at the RADD Sports Collegiate Invitational from Feb. 24-25 at the Alachua County Sports Center in Gainesville, Fla.
This will be the second time this season that they will be making the trip to Gainesville for an indoor meet. Last weekend, Smilla Kolbe and William Owens highlighted the event with program record-breaking marks in the 1-mile and 200m respectively.
The Ospreys will also be participating in its first two-day event of the season after only being a part of day one for the Jimmy Carnes Invitational on Jan. 17. UNF will have a full team compete on Friday, Jan. 24, with a few more events on Saturday, Jan. 25, to finish out the weekend.

The Ospreys will head back to Gainesville, Fla., for the third and final time in the Celebration Pointe Classic on Friday, Feb. 7.

LAST TIME OUT
Men's Squad
- Aidan O'Gorman took first place with a stellar time of 4:06.24 in the 1-mile, leading a dominant Osprey showing in the event.
- Robert Pedroza followed closely behind in 2nd place with a time of 4:08.20, forming a strong duo with O'Gorman.
- Owens claimed third place in his collegiate debut with a record-breaking time of 21.55 in the 200m sprint.
- Seth Martinez finished fourth with a time of 8:17.68 in the 3000m.
- Ladarius Tellis secured third place as well with a time of 2:28.45, highlighting his strength in mid-distance events.
Women's Squad
- Kolbe finished second with a time of 4:37.34 in the 1-mile, setting a program record in her first race of the season.
- Ella Chandler secured a podium finish with third place and a time of 2:11.97, leading the Ospreys in the 800m.
- Nicole Shepherd achieved fourth place with a jump of 1.65m, showcasing her consistency and skill.
- Gabby Johnson placed sixth with an impressive time of 57.31 in the 400m, contributing to the team's strong sprints performance.
- Cohen Kooker finished ninth with a time of 10:15.41 in the 3000m, delivering a solid performance in the long-distance event.
