Duff Finishes as Top Osprey Scorer Tied for 29th Overall

LOUDON, Tenn. - North Florida men's golf finishes up its first weekend to open the season with a 12th-place finish in the Visit Knoxville Collegiate hosted by Tennessee on Sunday afternoon.

The Ospreys had good showings in the final round from Jason Duff and Filippo Serra, but it was not enough to make a final jump up the team leaderboard. Duff completed the weekend as the top UNF scorer at 2-over 212, while Brett Schell joined him among the top 50 individuals.

ROUND REFLECTIONS

Duff took a rough start and turned it into a strong finish with a pair of birdies on the back nine.
He finished all three rounds at 1-over 71 or better to be the top scorer for the Ospreys inside the top 30 individuals.
He also had the best round of any UNF player in the final round with his 1-over 71 final round score.
Schell finished out his weekend in the top 50 overall after a great pair of rounds over the first two event days.
Danny Erickson completed his collegiate debut with a score of 8-over 218 combined.
Serra went 2-under in his final 12 holes for 2-over 72 on the day, while Cody Carroll wrapped up the Osprey weekend at 13-over 223.
