Osprey Transfer Completes Debut With 1-Under 71 Final Round

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - North Florida women's golf was led by redshirt sophomore transfer Kaitlyn Schroeder to finish seventh overall in her Osprey debut at the Boilermaker Classic hosted by Purdue on Tuesday afternoon.

Schroeder carded her first round under par in the final round of her Osprey debut at 1-under 71 to finish the week at 4-over 220. UNF closed out the early week tournament with a 12th-place team finish out of 15 teams in the 2024-25 season opener.

ROUND REFLECTIONS

On her way to placing seventh, Schroeder recorded five birdies in the final round, including back-to-back on the 15th and 16th holes.
The Alabama transfer secured a top-five mark in par-five average (2-under) and was also the team leader in birdies with eight total.
Kaitlynn Washburn had the most pars of any Osprey with 34 total on her way to a top-50 placement.
Casilda Allendesalazar put together a pair of birdies on the day to finish just outside the top 50 players.
Helen Zhou and Shivani Karthikeyan rounded out the group for the team score, while Braydn Smith completed her collegiate debut as an unattached individual.
The Ospreys finished the week with 143 total pars, 23 total birdies and an eagle from Schroeder.
