
Women's Golf Starts Sixth at Lady Paladin Invitational

Allendesalazar Inside Top Three, Zhou in 12th Overall
GREENVILLE, S.C. - North Florida women's golf opens up its second tournament of the fall season with a sixth-place start to the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman on Friday afternoon.
The Ospreys were led by Casilda Allendesalazar, who got back on track in the first round with four birdies to set with a 2-under 70 score to be at third overall among the field. Helen Zhou notched five birdies, including four out of six holes on the back nine, to combine with Allendesalazar for 11 total birdies in the opening round to be at even-par on the day.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Allendesalazar played a consistently well round with two birdies and six pars on each side of the course.
- Her third-place finish at 2-under is only two strokes short of the leader through day one at Furman.
- Helen Zhou ends her round with a team-high five birdies in her even-par performance.
- Four birdies were made by the redshirt junior between the 11th and 16th holes.
- Braydn Smith made her collegiate team debut for the Ospreys at 3-over 75 to be 34th overall on the leaderboard.
- Kaitlyn Schroeder joins her fellow newcomer Smith with one birdie and a 3-over score to share a top-35 standing.
- Kaitlynn Washburn also carded a birdie on the front nine to wrap up the group at 8-over.
- Although at sixth overall as a team, UNF is one of four teams with four players in the top 34 overall.
