Men's Basketball Releases Non-Conference Schedule, Full 2024-25 Slate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's basketball announces its 13-game non-conference schedule to complete its 2024-25 slate, featuring four at home and five games against Power Four opponents.Â

Nov. 4 at South Carolina
Nov. 7 vs. Charleston Southern
Nov. 10 at Georgia Tech

"So often we talk about the yearly challenges of the non-conference schedule, especially with five Power 4 games leading into the ASUN regular season schedule," head coach Matthew Driscoll said. "From there we go up against the depth that's on display in our league on a nightly basis, but what's become even more apparent is how it helps the growth of our "espirit de corps". Once again we have a full schedule and the chance to fire on all cylinders heading into Atlantic Championship play."
First Time Foes and Return to Florida
UNF will play first time foes in Georgia Tech, UNC Asheville, SIU Edwardsville and Nebraska, with UNF making its first trip to the Cornhusker State Dec. 1.Â
North Florida's contests against Nebraska and Florida mark the lone two against non-conference foes that made the 2024 NCAA Tournament. It will be UNF's first trip to Gainesville since going there Dec. 8, 2021.Â
Season Opener
The season opens in Columbia, S.C., against the Gamecocks Nov. 4. The home opener features Charleston Southern Nov. 7, breaking up a road swing in Georgia against Georgia Tech Nov. 10 and Georgia Nov. 12.Â
Home and Home
A non-conference home-and-home against UNC Asheville starts with a home contest against the Bulldogs Nov. 18. Edward Waters makes the trip across town Nov. 21, while a two-game road stint to the midwest begins at SIU Edwardsville Nov. 29.
Second Half of Non-Conference Play
After the Dec. 1 meeting with the Big Red North Florida hosts Warner Dec. 5 before going to Georgia Southern Dec. 7. UNC Greensboro rounds out the home games for non-conference play Dec. 14, while the return trip to UNC Asheville is set for Dec. 17.Â
The Dec. 21 meeting with the Gators wraps up non-conference play for the regular season.
