31-Game Slate Includes 15 Home Games, 23 Games in Florida and Four Power Four Matchups
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball officially announces its full 31-game schedule for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday afternoon.
"I can't wait to attack our 2024-25 game schedule with this squad! First, I want to ask all our Osprey fans to mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 9, when we'll pack 'The Nest' for our first weekend home game against Georgia Southern," said head coach Erika Lambert. "Early on, we'll be tested in some tough environments at FSU, UCF and Florida. Our trip to Minnesota is extra special because our new assistant coach, Diva Hubbard, was a big time player in 'The Barn' from 2016-22."
The Ospreys will host 15 games on the season with a total of 23 games played within the state of Florida. They will also face the challenge of taking on four Power Four teams with matchups on the road against Florida State, UCF, Minnesota and Florida.
UNF will also play host to a Thanksgiving weekend multi-team event featuring Coppin State, Samford and Stephen F. Austin. The first game for the Ospreys will be against Coppin State on Friday, Nov. 29, followed with Samford a day later on Saturday, Nov. 30, at UNF Arena.
"We're excited to host a Thanksgiving MTE at home this year with three quality teams in Stephen F. Austin, Coppin State and Samford. Eat your turkey and then come watch some hoops," continued Lambert. "With nine newcomers on our roster, I'm pleased with the opportunities our team has to grow and come together before the ASUN slate begins in January."
While the entire promotional schedule will be available at a later date, UNF is excited to announce that its annual "Education Day" will be on Wednesday, Nov. 6 against Trinity Baptist at 11 a.m. Further details will be provided regarding the promotional activities for this game and the entire home slate as it gets closer to the start of November.
