Fourth All-Region Honor of Osprey Career
CARLSBAD, Calif. - Senior Nick Gabrelcik adds another postseason accolade by earning his fourth consecutive D-I PING All-Southeast Region selection of his collegiate career, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Saturday afternoon.
Gabrelcik gains the distinction during postseason play in the second round of the D-I national championship in Carlsbad, Calif. He went into the weekend as the No. 5 player in the PGA Tour U rankings looking to solidify his Korn Ferry Tour card for the rest of the year.
The four-time ASUN Player of the Year honoree has been a D-I PING All-American selection each of the past three seasons as well. The All-American announcement is expected to be made in early June by the GCAA.
The Trinity, Fla., native is one of two non-Power Five golfers to be selected into the Southeast region, joining Jake Peacock from South Florida. He is also one of four players out of the 26-person field hailing from a non-SEC school, as the other two selections are from Florida State.
