
Women's Tennis Quartet Garners CSC Academic All-District Honors

Kaplan, Nash, Long & Makela All Earn Recognition
GREENWOOD, Ind. - North Florida women's tennis announces the selections of Amy Kaplan, Kendall Nash, Anslee Long and Jasmin Makela to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the national organization on Tuesday, May 14.
The Ospreys garnered four CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-District selections for a second consecutive season. Kaplan, Long and Makela each pick up their first-career honor from the institution, while Nash is a second-time recipient of this recognition.
Nash excelled in the classroom with the top GPA on the team earning a 3.96 GPA, while majoring in exercise science, along with Kaplan earning a 3.75 pursuing her Master's of Education in Athletic Administration Concentration. Makela has a strong mark of a 3.79 GPA, while majoring in psychology, followed by Long with a 3.53 GPA majoring in pre-health.
Nash also picked up district distinction academically after receiving ASUN All-Academic Team honors earlier this semester. The women's tennis team as a whole was also outstanding in the classroom this spring semester with a combined 3.65 GPA.
The 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's finest student-athletes on and off the field. Honorees advance to the All-American round, with CSC Academic All-America Team selections released on Tuesday, Jun. 4.
About the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Award
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 4 (women) and June 5 (men). The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
