JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis boasted a strong performance in the Conference Individual Tournament, with appearances in the singles and doubles main draw finals from senior Laurie Barendse and graduate Isabel Oliveira on Sunday.
Oliveira earned a singles victory over North Alabama in the main draw quarterfinals on Friday, fighting back to win 4-6, 6-1, 11-9.
Barendse and Oliveira were dominant in doubles main draw semifinals on Saturday, cruising past North Alabama, 6-1.
Barendse continued to impress in singles on Saturday, advancing to the main draw semifinals with a victory against Lipscomb, 6-0, 7-5. Later that afternoon, Barendse clinched a spot in the singles main draw finals with a win over North Alabama, 7-6, 7-6, 7-5.
