
Women’s Tennis Bounces Back with Win Over Bellarmine

Alisa Lyshko Improves to 6-1 in Singles ASUN Play
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - North Florida women's tennis (9-9) defeats Bellarmine (9-14) on the road to get back on track Friday afternoon. The Ospreys started off very strong with a quick win in doubles play that shortly carried over to singles play, which helped them get the 6-1 win over the Knights.
With a quick start for the Ospreys in doubles play, Kendall Nash and Anslee Long would go on a 5-0 run on court two to help the Ospreys claim the first point needed to win doubles. Within minutes, Alisa Lyshko and Amy Kaplan secured the doubles win to give the Ospreys a 1-0 lead.
The Ospreys continued their dominance in singles play, as Kaplan, Long, and Lyshko would all win in straight sets. Nash would go into a three-set nailbiter, where she would ultimately come out on top winning the third set, 7-5, giving the Ospreys the fourth point needed to claim the match over the Governors.
Next up for the Ospreys, they will travel to Clarksville, Tenn., to take on Austin Peay on Sunday, Apr. 7, at 11 a.m., at the Governors Indoor Tennis Center.
