Ospreys Become First Team to Sweep the ASUN Tournament

DELAND, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball (24-11) became the first team in conference history to sweep the entire ASUN Tournament and earned its fifth championship title in program history with a 3-0 sweep over No. 2 Stetson (22-12) on Saturday afternoon at the Cooper Beach Volleyball Courts.

Cameron Humphries and Hayden Wooldridge were selected to the ASUN All-Tournament Team for their impressive performances from the four slot. ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year Iris Fletcher and partner Katie Camp received Pair of the Tournament honors after clinching match winning points against UNA and Stetson twice.

UNF qualifies for the 2024 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship for the first time in program history.

In a semi finals rematch with the Hatters, the Ospreys got out to an early 1-0 lead thanks to a dominant performance from Humphries/Wooldridge who only conceded nine points in the first set. Feliciano Sanchez and Murphy were forced to a third set by Stetson, but the duo were able to fend off a comeback to earn their 25th win of the season. The match clinching point once again came down to the three slot of Fletcher and Camp. The pair were taken to three sets, but were able to put the Hatters away to secure its fourth sweep of the tournament and become ASUN Champions.
