Ospreys Defeat No. 18 Florida Atlantic and No. 16 Stetson

DELAND, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball (20-11) swept the final day of its regular season, tallying a 4-1 victory over No. 18 Florida Atlantic (16-16) and a 3-2 win in a tough battle with conference foe No. 16 Stetson (19-9) as the Ospreys recorded its first victories over ranked opposition this season.

The four, five and extra pairs all went undefeated on the day as Cameron Humphries and Hayden Wooldridge recorded their 20th win of the season against the Hatters. Mariana Feliciano Sanchez also reached 20 wins on the season as her and Mackenzie Murphy improved to 20-4 as a pair.

Humphries/Wooldridge and Feliciano Sanchez/Murphy got the Ospreys out to an early two point advantage taking their matches in two sets. Iris Fletcher and Katie Camp won their 13th match in a row to secure the third match point for UNF. Michaela Rezentes and Taylor Pierce won their match in the one slot to add a fourth point to the Ospreys tally. The Owls were able to avoid a sweep with a win in the two slot, taking it in three sets.

Similar to the first matchup, the Ospreys got out to a two point advantage thanks to wins from Humphries/Wooldridge and Feliciano Sanchez/Murphy. The Hatters got on the board in the one slot who took the match in three sets. Murray and Espy clinched the game winning match point in a back-and-forth three setter. Stetson managed to grab a second match point, but it wasn't enough as UNF secured its second ranked victory on the day.
