Sextet of Ospreys Compete at Florida Meet
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida outdoor track & field had six Ospreys run in four events over the past two days at Florida to come back with personal-best times at the Tom Jones Memorial on Saturday evening.
PIGG'S POINTS
"Celine [D'Anna} had a great race. She dropped her or and competed very well. Gavin {O'Brien} ran a very competitive 1500. He is finally back to great shape and the steeple will be exciting. Smilla [Kolbe] and Ella [Chandler] both had good performances. Smilla ran her 2nd fastest 800 and it was a very smart tactical race. Ella ran a lifetime best as she continues to drop her time. She closed strong to finish with a top 3 ASUN performance. Ryan [Douihech] ran a good 800 as he continues to develop his 800/1500 skills. The Ospreys will compete in its final road meet of the regular season at the Georgia Tech Invitational from Apr. 19-20 hosted by Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Ga.

FINISH LINE
- Celine D'Anna started the day off for UNF with a top-20 personal-best time of 1:03.03 in the 400mH.
- Gavin O'Brien and Ilias El Khattabi also had good showings with sub-four minute times in the 1500m.
- The pair of Osprey runners each placed in the top 35, headlined by O'Brien in 26th overall.
- On Saturday, Smilla Kolbe had an outstanding performance for 11th in the 800m at 2:04.23.
- Ella Chandler joined right behind Kolbe in the race for 27th overall at 2:07.58.
- Ryan Douihech wrapped up the weekend for UNF in Gainesville in 45th overall at 1:51.80 in the 800m.
