"Both squads competed very well. One of our foundational principles is take what you have and make the most of it, and that is exactly what they did. Again, today a lot of athletes performed at the best level of their life. We want to continue to improve and that's happening."
-- head coach Jeff Pigg
Women
"Smilla [Kolbe] had a great day for us. She ran a strong 55 in the 400m and, 20 minutes later, ran 2:09 for second in the 800m. She then ran a leg in the 4x4, which solidified a team spot over EKU. I'm proud of how she competed and look forward to many races in the future. Ella [Chandler] ran a swift 800m placing fourth and also ran a nice 4x400 leg. Celine [D'Anna] and Melissa [Epting] ran well in the relay too. Renske [Drenton] had a nice lifetime best and really stepped up big for us. Nicole [Shepherd] also had another good day, as we went fourth and sixth. Jada [Williams] kept making strides as she ran a nice race and placed eighth. Erica [Fisher], Hannah [Martin] and Isa [Leen] came back strong after the 5000m to finish a good indoor campaign."

Men
"Robert [Pedroza] ran an outstanding 800m. He has upped his game indoors and really came through with a new school record in an event that has been exceptionally strong for us over the years. Camden [Springer] had a great meet. Running the 400m school record, the 200m, and leading off the 4x4, he really contributed a lot. He is such a great competitor and it is nice to see it pay off. Rey [Hernandez] scored twice and continues to adapt to the college races. He had a good hurdle race and will continue to make big improvements. Colton [Lawson] and Ben [Tary] were terrific for the multi-event placing sixth and seventh. They really helped the team score and were willing to get out of their comfort zone for the team. I'm proud of their attitude and a job well done! Ladarius [Tellis] and Ryan [Douihech] placed fine in the 800m and it will be nice to get some training in and see them outdoors. Ilias [El Khattabi] and Paul [Lespasio] ran nice 3000m races to cap off their indoor seasons as well."
