Men’s Tennis Continues Fall Season at ITA Southeast Regionals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis will continue its fall season at the ITA Southeast Regionals this week from Oct. 16-21 in Athens, Ga.
UNF is coming off an impressive opening weekend, with newcomers Jean Deloziere, Lorenzo Messine and Benjamin Scott making strong debuts by securing singles victories. Bruno Vietri and Chase Healey also added wins to the overall team record at the Mercer Gridiron Classic.
All matches in qualifying will be held on Wednesday with two rounds of singles and no doubles qualifying draw. The main draw features a 64-singles draw and 64-doubles draw, as well as a singles and doubles consolation draw for first round losers in the main draw.
The two singles finalists from each region, which includes 26 total, from the ITA Regionals and the doubles champion from each region, 13 total, will earn automatic qualification to the NCAA Individual Championships in November.
This weekend will be the second of four fall events for UNF, with the Bedford Cup and Stetson Invitational following in the second half of the season.
