Ospreys Finish in Top 20 Percent of Division I in Team GPA

LEXINGTON, Ky. - With the help of a 3.737 spring team grade point average, North Florida beach volleyball was selected to earn the 2023 USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award, while also earning Honor Roll distinction for finishing in the top 20 percent of schools in DI for team GPA.

The team had 15 dean's list honorees and eight with perfect 4.0 GPAs for the spring, helping North Florida to a 3.57 department GPA. This honor marks the sixth such award in program history and third in as many years.

The Ospreys are only one of 46 programs across Division I to make the honor roll. Teams eligible for the overall academic honor roll have to maintain at least a 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 GPA.

North Florida's Chantel McMillan took home just the second ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor in program history, while Mariana Feliciano-Sanchez and Hayden Wooldridge earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors.
