"I chose to be a student-athlete at North Florida to get the chance to compete close to my home turf (Daytona Beach). I also chose to be a part of a program that allows me to grow and work on myself, not only as a student athlete but also as a leader. Being a graduate transfer makes me a veteran athlete and I want to become a great leader to those who look up to me. North Florida has blessed me with an opportunity to do this!"
"Jayla [Adams] brings experience, maturity and competitiveness to our roster. She's a dynamic playmaker who will push the pace on offense and wreak havoc on defense. She'll be a great floor general for us and really has a heart for helping younger players. Jayla is a very talented athlete with a lot left to give and I know she will leave it all on the court for her final season of eligibility. I'm thrilled she chose to finish her career wearing a UNF jersey!"

Position: Guard/Forward
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Fort Myers, Fla.
High School: Fort Myers HS
Height: 6-2
Intended Major: Engineering/Psychology
"UNF has a great atmosphere overall. The whole athletic department wants the best for each player. I feel this program is destined for greatness and I just thank God that I will be a part of it!"
"As a first-year head coach, I wanted to be very selective about new roster additions. This late in the game it is a unique challenge to find players who can be game changers on the court, as well as great culture kids who will help build a strong foundation moving forward. Tyra [Brown] is both. I feel like we hit the jackpot with her! Tyra's physical prowess and inside-outside versatility are going to present matchup problems for our opponents. Her rebounding ability will be invaluable to our team. She has such a fun personality and Osprey fans are going to love her!"
