
Eight XCTF Athletes Tabbed With CSC Academic All-District Team Honors

Fourth Consecutive Season For Men, First Selections For Women Since 2018
GREENWOOD, Ind. - A total of eight student-athletes between the men's and women's cross country and track & field teams were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as announced by the national organization on Wednesday, May 31.
Aidan O'Gorman, Macauley Franks and Aiden Arnold were selections on the men's side, along with the women having five total members in Emma Jane Schlageter, Mia McLain, Raquel Lespasio, Hannah Martin and Kaley Petrosky. This is the fourth year in a row that the men have been given this honor, while the women had their first selections since Eden Meyer in 2018.
The women's selections more than double the total they had before, as they jump from four selections to nine total after this season. The men also had multiple selections for the first time since 2020, as well as three selections for the first time ever.
Both O'Gorman and Franks were NCAA East First Round qualifiers this season, as O'Gorman will make his way to Austin, Tex., next week for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship round. They also broke many school records this year with five combined between the two of them in cross country and track.
The 2023 CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's finest student-athletes during competition and in the classroom. Honorees advance to the All-American round, with CSC Academic All-America teams coming out on Wednesday, June 28, for the women and Thursday, June 29, for the men.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 28 (women) and June 29 (men). The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
