Franks Earns ASUN Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week Honors

Back-to-Back Weeks an Osprey Has Been Selected
ATLANTA -Â Macauley Franks turned in a top finish in the 1500m and a runner-up finish in the 800m at last weekend's East Coast Relays, leading into his first-career ASUN Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honor as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
Franks timed in at 3:44.60 in the 1500m to start out his final regular season home meet of the season and finished with a personal-best mark with a runner-up position in the 800m at 1:48.92. This is the second ASUN weekly award that the graduate transfer has received this year, as he was the ASUN Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Feb. 8.
This is the 23rd time an Osprey has won the ASUN's Track Athlete of the Week honor in program history, as well as the third time this season. Robert Pedroza was selected on Apr. 5 and Apr. 26, making it back-to-back weeks with a UNF runner taking home the honor.
