JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball finishes up their road slate for the season with a weekend series against Florida Gulf Coast from Apr. 29-30 in Fort Myers, Fla.
The Ospreys look to claw their way closer into ASUN Championship tournament contention, as they sit two games back to the No. 8 seed, North Alabama, with six conference games left on their schedule. They look to extend their five-game winning streak and attempt to make it back-to-back seasons of taking the series at FGCU.

WHAT TO KNOW
- The Ospreys will play in their final regular-season road games of the season, as well as their final doubleheader.
- They will look to match their season-high winning streak of six straight games that was set from Mar. 4-11.
- Have shut out opponents in four of their last five games, including a no-hitter against Georgia Southern.
- Skyler Stockie had the best game of her career with no hits allowed against the Eagles and her first complete-game performance since 2020.
- UNF ranks second in the conference as a team in both doubles (59) and shutouts (12).
- Shannon Glover currently sits third in the conference for home runs (10) and fourth for hits (51).
- Chloe Culp ranks first in the ASUN and 19th in the nation for doubles with 14 total.
- Ashley Connor still has a top-12 mark in the nation for saves with five total.
- Kayla Harper is second in the ASUN and top 35 in the nation for stolen bases with 23 total.
- Izzy Kelly holds a 1.93 ERA with a 3-1 record in nine appearances of conference play.
OPPONENT NOTES
- Florida Gulf Coast host the Ospreys with a 28-21 overall record and a 10-8 record against conference opponents. They have 20 wins on their home field and have only suffered eight losses in Fort Myers. In their most recent ASUN matchup, they won a pair of doubleheader games against Stetson, but lost the Sunday series finale by a run. Of the six conference series FGCU has played this year, they have taken the series in five of them. Tayli Filla and Emily Chiarella both share the team-high average at .317 with a combined 85 total hits. They also both lead the team in games played, while Filla leads the team in RBIs with 27 total. Angelina Bonilla leads the team in the circle with a 2.33 ERA and 85 strikeouts, but Ally Hulme has the lead for innings pitched with 112.0 total and wins with an 11-8 record.
- UNF trails the overall series against the Eagles, 24-15, with the last meeting being a 3-1 defeat at Fort Myers, Fla., in 2022.
