Davis Lee Holds a Top-Eight Spot Through Two Rounds

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - North Florida men's golf had another great showing with all five golfers improving their scores to move up to fourth overall through a pair of rounds at the Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by top-ranked Vanderbilt on Tuesday afternoon.

Davis Lee moved up to share eight overall after his superb score of 5-under 66 in the second round, which would set him up for his second top-10 finish of the season on Wednesday. Nick Gabrelcik also had a great round with seven total birdies to move into the top 12 individuals as well.

ROUND REFLECTIONS

Lee only had one hole in the second round that was worse than par, including six birdies on the day.
The senior also sports the best par-four average among all players at 3-under.
Gabrelcik has the most birdies of any player with 12 total after his seven total in the second round to card 3-under 139 through two rounds.
He also remains at the top alone for best par-five average at 8-under heading into Wednesday.
Cooper Smith was the third Osprey to record six or more birdies in the second round with another even-par 71 day.
Robbie Higgins stayed among the top 40 players with a 1-over 72 round that featured four birdies, including back-to-back to finish the front nine.
Cody Carroll had three birdies on the final six holes to be the third UNF golfer under par in the second round at 1-under 70.
Lance Yates, who remains unattached, has the most total pars of all Osprey players with 24 total after a bogey-less back nine to tie for 17th after Tuesday.
Jason Duff finished out the day for UNF with third birdies at 5-over 76 on day two as an unattached individual as well.
Higgins and Yates have the third-best par-three average at 1-under with Gabrelcik close by at even-par.
The Ospreys have the second-best par-five average (21-under) and fourth-best par-four average (11-over) among the field.
UNF also have the second-most birdies with 41 total, while also remaining one of three teams with multiple eagles.
