Ospreys Stay Perfect at Home, Sweep Monday Doubleheader

North Florida Cruises Past North Alabama, Sweep JU
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF beach volleyball kicked off a 10-match home stand with a Monday matinee sweep after a 4-1 win against North Alabama (12-12) and a sweep of JU (8-13). UNF (13-5) has now won eight of its last 10 and is 6-0 at home on the year.Â
The victory against JU brought UNF to a 3-0 season sweep of JU, as well as a 34-2 overall record in the head-to-head series.Â

The day started with domination at the fourth, fifth and extras slots. Hayden Wooldridge and Chantel McMillan finished in no time, while Mackenzie Murphy and Mariana Feliciano-Sanchez won in straight sets.Â
Presley Murray and Madison Espy won at the second slot to clinch it, keeping them perfect at home. UNA got one back at the first slot, but Michaela Rezentes and Katie Camp ended the match on a high note with a battle at the third slot en route to a 25-23, 19-21, 15-12 win.
Mikayla Benanti and Zoe Cahill were also straight-sets winners at the extras slots.

Working backwards, McMillan and Wooldridge were the first to finish, while Audrey Brooks and Iris Fletcher bookended the contest with their own sweep at the top slot. Murray and Espy were the last to finish, capping the day with a comeback three-set win that featured a dominant 21-9 second set.
