RALEIGH, N.C. - Aidan O'Gorman rewrote the record books once again after breaking his own mark with a time of 28:59.90 in the 10,000m race to wrap up the Raleigh Relays on Friday evening.
The New Smyrna Beach, Fla., native becomes the first Osprey runner in program history to eclipse a sub-29 minute 10,000m. The senior broke his record by almost 20 seconds and only one day after Macauley Franks broke the outdoor school record for the 3000m steeplechase.
FINISH LINE
- Bested his own program-best time, as he ousted his 2022 outdoor record in the 10k.
- Achieved a remarkable performance in the race clinching the 10k in 28.59.90.
- Placed top 20 out of over 100 contenders at the Raleigh Relays.
- Went for a sub-29 mark in the race and edged out several runners from Tennessee, Villanova, Princeton, Central Arkansa, North Carolina and Duke.
