Lee Earns 16th-Career Round in 60s on Final Day

STATESBORO, Ga. - North Florida men's golf finished its multi-tournament week on a high note after it moved up from 12th to seventh on the final day of the Schenkel Invitational hosted by Georgia Southern on Sunday afternoon.

The Ospreys saw the biggest jump of the day out of any team, moving five spots in the final round. They placed over No. 43 Notre Dame, as well as a couple in-state opponents in UCF and FGCU.

Davis Lee repeated topped his performance from the second round, as he finished with four straight birdies to card 3-under 69 to move up into the top 12 on the player's leaderboard. He was one of three Ospreys to shoot at par or better in the final round at Georgia Southern's meet.

ROUND REFLECTIONS

Lee paced the team for pars on the weekend with 35 total on his way to a 1-under 215 combined score.
The senior has added a third top-25 finish to his season, as well as garnering his third tournament under par.
He also finished with his 15th-career top-25 finish and 16th-career round in the 60s, while also bringing his rounds under par total to 32.
Robbie Higgins had a team-high 14 birdies over the three-day event to place in the top 30 at 4-over 220.
He joined Lee by finishing his last four holes with four-straight birdies to help stay in the top 10 for par-five average (5-under).
Lance Yates moved into the top five for a par-three average (2-under) to help place himself with a share of 42nd at 6-over 222 overall.
Jason Duff scored the first and only eagle for the Ospreys at Georgia Southern on the seventh hole for a score of even-par 72 on Sunday.
Cody Carroll put together a strong finish scoring 3-under in his last eight holes to finish just outside the top 50 individuals.
Alejandro Ramos completed his unattached weekend tied for 68th at 13-over 229 combined.
UNF saw a major boost in par-three success in the final round, as they finished the weekend as the leader for par-three average (2-over).
They also had a top-five average for par-five holes (17-under) and was fourth overall in total birdies (50).
