Espy and Murray Continue Perfect Start

MALIBU, Calif. - For the fourth time this season and the second time in as many days, North Florida beach volleyball swept its opponent, this time that foe being San Francisco as the Ospreys (7-4) earned a winning weekend at Pepperdine Sunday, March 12.

UNF went with its same lineup as the 5-0 sweep of UAB, defeating the Dons (0-8) in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. North Florida didn't drop a set for the second time on the season, adding to the same instance March 3 against Mercer.

Madison Espy and Presley Murray's win at the second slot continued the perfect start to their respective careers, bringing the freshman tandem to a perfect 11-0 record through the first three weekends. Pairs one, three, four and five also earned their second wins on the weekend with the sweep.

The trip out west is the second to last time UNF is set to play outside the eastern time zone during the regular season. North Florida won't play outside its home time zone until going to Baton Rouge, La., in April.
