UNF Great Runs a Time of 14:02.90 to Break Conference Mark
LYNCHBURG, Va. - UNF great Aidan O'Gorman made more history in arguably the biggest way yet, setting the ASUN Indoor Championships record in the 5000m to highlight UNF men's track and field's first day in Lynchburg. The New Smyrna Beach Native took first with a blistering time of 14:02.90.
Â
Also of note, Timothy Doyle turned in a qualifying time of 4:05.70 in the mile, notching a slot in the finals race tomorrow afternoon. Doyle received a new personal-best time on Friday afternoon, clinching the highest rank for North Florida in the event overall.Â
Â
Mac Franks put forth a momentous effort in the mile, crossing the line in the eight to secure a spot in the finals. Franks finished well under his 2023-mile record, so we can anticipate more from Franks tomorrow.Â
