
Men's Golf in Top Five After Halted Second Round at Gator Invitational

Both Gabrelcik and Higgins Sit In Top 10
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's golf finished its first day at the Gator Invitational inside the top five teams before play was halted due to weather on Saturday evening.
UNF will resume the final three holes of the second round on Sunday morning before playing the final round. They are one of five teams in the field with an under-par score and sit ahead of four top-100 ranked teams heading into the final day of play.
Nick Gabrelcik had a great day on the links with seven birdies over his last 23 holes before play was suspended to be a top-five player on the leaderboard at 6-under. Robbie Higgins shares seventh overall at 3-under, as he had six birdies on the day, including four in the opening round.

- Davis Lee joins Gabrelcik in the top 10 for par-four average (2-under) on his way to being tied for 30th at 3-over combined.
- The senior is one par behind Gabrelcik and Higgins with 24 total and has not scored worse than par since the 13th hole in round one.
- Justin Ross continues a stellar debut season with a score of 2-over in his first tournament played affiliated with the team score.
- Cooper Smith rounds out the Ospreys' first day in Gainesville at 3-over to be the fourth Osprey inside the top 40 individuals.
- Alejandro Ramos played as an unattached individual for his second Osprey appearance, as he sits 2-over heading into Sunday's final round.
- The Ospreys are tied with Florida for the most pars in the tournament with 117.
