Torres and Kirby Tally Wins, 20 Top-Five Finishes Produced
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's swimming saw a plethora of top-five finishes and multiple personal bests on the first day of its tri-meet with Tulane and UALR, Friday, Oct. 6.Â
Ashley Kirby and Victoria Torres secured first place finishes for the Ospreys in a session that produced 20 total top-five results. Four swimmers tallied new personal bests in a competitive meet that sees the Ospreys just behind UALR heading into day two.Â

- Freshman Ashley Kirby won her first collegiate race in the 100-yard breaststroke touching the wall in 1:05.97, a new personal bestÂ
- Victoria Torres took first place in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 30.18
- Hannah Gnatt and Paige Munna set new personal bests in the 1,000-yard freestyle with times of 10:42.58 and 10:49.80 respectively
- Kayla Daley finished third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.93, a new personal bestÂ
- The group of Amanda Loomis, Amelia Hildebrand, Torres and Daley secured a second place finish in the 400-yard medley relay with a combined time of 3:55.22
- Ashley Kephart contributed to three top-five finishes in the 200-yard freestyle, the 100-yard freestyle and in the 200-yard freestyle relay
- Aydan Horrigan notched a second place finish in the 400-yard individual medley touching the wall in 4:37.60
- All told, the Ospreys recorded four new personal bests, 20 top-five finishes and 16 top-five individual finishes
