WILMINGTON, N.C. - Nick Gabrelcik had yet another outstanding day after scoring 3-under 69 with five birdies in the final round, as he shared first overall at the Williams Cup hosted by North Carolina on Tuesday afternoon. He played against David Ford from UNC in a playoff for a chance at the medalist crown, but lost on the first hole after Ford sank an eight-foot birdie for the win.
Gabrelcik was the only player that was a part of the team score in the tournament to finish in the 60s during the final round of play. He also led all players in birdies with 15 total, including the five that came in the clutch to post a top individual finish, as well as lead the North Florida men's golf squad to a share of fourth overall as a team.
