Building the National Brand
North Florida beach volleyball added to its national presence in 2022. On eight occasions, North Florida received votes in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball poll (Feb. 16, Mar. 1, Mar. 8, Mar. 22, Mar. 29, Apr. 5, Apr. 12, Apr. 19).Â
Twice the Ospreys were ranked in the Collegebeachvolleyball.com (CBVB) top 20, coming in at No. 20 in the preseason poll while taking No. 19 March 2.Â
The Ospreys brought in one of the best tournaments in the nation April 1-2, showing off The Coop in its third season of action.Â
For the first time in program history, UNF hosted a tournament with four top 20 teams, doing so as No. 11 Georgia State, No. 18 Pepperdine, No. 4 Florida State and No. 10 FAU battled it out in Jacksonville.Â
Taryn Griffey and Callie Workman were both ranked in the top 100 in the nation on CBVB's MoVR and Pablo Rankings. Hayden Wooldridge and Chantel McMillan achieved strong national consideration, finishing 15th in the country for all pairs at the fourth position, posting an 18-9 mark at that slot.Â
Graduate assistant coach, Sophie Beckley, also made a national headline, earning a spot on the AVCA Thirty Under 30 Beach Volleyball Coaches List. It was Beckley's first year on staff as a graduate assistant after earning letters as a student-athlete in 2020 and 2021 as a graduate transfer.Â

Freshmen Phenoms
North Florida's foundation for the future shone through with an impressive 73-41 record among true freshmen that earned time in 2022. The quartet of Zoe Cahill, Madeline Camp, Hayden Wooldridge and Mariana Feliciano-Sanchez made up that 73-win total, while also posting 13 more extra-slot wins.Â
Camp and Wooldridge were tied for the team lead in wins with Chantel McMillan at 25. Wooldrige had 39 decisions in 39 matches, finishing the season as the program's latest ASUN All-Freshman honoree.Â
Feliciano-Sanchez and Camp teamed up late in the season and proved to be dominant in ASUN Postseason play, earning ASUN All-Tournament honors. Together, the quartet picked up wins against pairs on six different ranked teams.Â
Cahill garnered a massive amount of experience, picking up eight matches at the second slot as well as three wins.
Wooldridge and Camp's 25 wins is tied for the third most victories among a freshman in a single season in program history.Â

Â
Awards and Honors
