
Men's Golf Wraps Up Regular Season in Third at Lewis Chitengwa Memorial

Higgins Places As Individual Runner-Up at 8-Under
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - No. 39 North Florida men's golf wrapped up play in the second round and posted a strong score in the final round to place third at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial hosted by Virginia on Tuesday afternoon.
Robbie Higgins finished as the individual runner-up at 8-under after not only scoring all three rounds under par, but also finishing in the 60s for each of those rounds. Nick Gabrelcik had another spectacular showing as well with his seventh top-10 finish of the year in fifth-place at 6-under.
This is their fifth tournament of the spring season placing within the top three teams, including their team championship win at The Hayt. It was also the sixth of seven tournaments this spring that the Ospreys had at least one golfer placing in the top 10, with five players grabbing top three finishes.

- He also finished tied for third in average-par four score (3-under, 3.89) and tied for fourth in both average par-five score (6-under, 4.50) and total birdies (14).
- Gabrelcik was one stroke shy of matching his best 54-hole score of the season, as he carded even-par 71 in the final round to finish fifth at 6-under.
- Tied for the lead in the field for average par-five score, as well as third for the most birdies with 15 total.
- Davis Lee recorded his second round under par for the week at 1-under 70 on the final day to place 33rd in the tournament, while also having a share of the eighth-most pars at 38 total.
- Cody Carroll was tied for the third-most pars on the course at 41 total to turn in another quality score at 3-over to tied for 34th.
- Jason Duff's 12 total birdies through three rounds, which tied for eighth among the players, finished out the Osprey group with a 5-over score tied for 40th.
- The Ospreys finished as the only team in the tournament with two players placing in the top five spots of the player's leaderboard.
- UNF lead all 14 teams in average par-five score (24-under, 4.60) by four strokes and finished top-three for average par-three score (10-over, 3.13) and total birdies (53).
