
Sports Medicine Staff Complete With Additions

Matt Adams, Katie DeLost, Annette Morton and Hannah Ogle Join Staff
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The North Florida Athletics Sports Medicine staff is complete with the addition of four athletic trainers to the department. Assistant athletic trainers, Matt Adams and Annette Morton, got their start with UNF back in October, while Katie DeLost joined in November and Hannah Ogle started with UNF within the calendar year.
"We are excited to add these four talented athletic trainers with various backgrounds to our Sports Performance Staff," Associate AD for Sports Performance Fred Burnett said. "The recent addition rounds out our staff and gives us the opportunity to provide the best health care possible to our student athletes."

Matt Adams | WBB/WGOLF
Adams joined the North Florida Athletics Department as an assistant athletic trainer in October of 2021. Adams will work directly with the women's basketball and women's golf programs.
Adams comes from Indiana University where he served with the IU football team as a certified athletic trainer. While earning his master's of science in kinesiology from IU, Adams garnered over 1,000 hours of clinical work with the Edgewood High School and Middle School as the head athletic trainer for the football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball and track and field teams.
The Indiana native earned his bachelor's of arts in athletic training from Anderson University in Anderson, Ind., in May of 2019. During his undergraduate years, Adams earned experience as an athletic training student with a number of teams and organizations including Brown County Health and Living Community, Athletico Physical Therapy, Anderson University varsity sports teams, IU Strength and Conditioning and Central Indiana Orthopedics.
"After working alongside the athletic training staff at this university for several months, I am really excited for what lies ahead," Adams said. "Women's basketball and women's golf have both been amazing to work with, and the programs at this university are flowing with fantastic student-athletes who work hard to best represent UNF. Living here in Jacksonville has been wonderful, and I hope to continue working at UNF for years to come."
Katie DeLost | VB/BVB
DeLost joined the North Florida athletics department in November as an assistant athletic trainer. DeLost will work primarily with the indoor and beach volleyball programs.
DeLost comes to UNF after serving as an assistant athletic trainer with the University of Akron for nearly three years. With the Zips, DeLost worked with the volleyball and swimming and diving programs.Â
Prior to that she earned over a year of experience with Georgia Tech, working with football and cheerleading. During that internship she also had athletic training duties with the NCAA Women's Tennis Regionals, ACC Softball Championship and Men's ITA Regionals.
DeLost earned her MS in health and human movement from Utah State in May of 2017. During her time in Logan, Utah, DeLost worked with the Aggies Football and women's tennis programs. She got her start in the industry at the University of Alabama as an athletic training student, working with a number of teams including women's basketball, women's rowing, football and gymnastics.Â

Annette Morton | SB/SWIM
Morton joined the North Florida Athletics Department as an assistant athletic trainer in October of 2021. Morton will work directly with the softball and swimming programs.
Morton most recently served as an athletic training intern at Rogers State University in Claremore, Okla., working with the women's soccer and women's basketball programs beginning in August of 2020. During that time she also served as a season athletic training intern with the Tulsa Oilers of the East Coast Hockey League. Prior to those stints, Morton had two stretches as an athletic trainer with Tulsa Athletic FC.
While earning her master's degree at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, Morton spent two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Angelo State cross country, softball and track and field programs.
Morton earned her bachelor's of science in athletic training at the University of Tulsa, getting her start in the industry during that time with multiple opportunities for direct care with Tulsa student-athletes throughout the Division I program. She also garnered a year and three months of work experience as an athletic trainer with Shannon Sports Medicine, working with Shannon Sports Medicine.
Hannah Ogle | WSOC/WTEN
Hannah Ogle joined the North Florida staff as an assistant athletic trainer in January of 2022. Ogle will work primarily with the women's soccer and women's tennis programs.
Prior to joining the UNF staff, Ogle completed her residency at Utah State University working with a women's volleyball program that won the Mountain West Regular Season Championship. Prior to her time in Logan, Utah, Ogle completed an immersive experience at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, working with the volleyball and football teams.
She also added clinical experiences at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Englewood High School in Jacksonville and Bartram Trail High School in St. Johns, Florida.
Ogle earned her bachelor's of science in exercise science from Sale College in North Carolina while playing softball and volleyball. She is a UNF alumni, having earned her master's of science in athletic training from UNF in April of 2021.
Ogle has memberships with the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), Southeast Athletic Trainers Association, Athletic Trainers Association of Florida and University of North Florida Athletic Training Students Association. She is a certified athletic trainer and American Red Cross BLS CPR/AED certified.
