Matt Adams joined the North Florida Athletics Department as an assistant athletic trainer in October of 2021. Adams will work directly with the women's basketball and women's golf programs.
Adams comes from Indiana University where he served with the IU football team as a certified athletic trainer. While earning his master's of science in Kinesiology from IU, Adams garnered over 1,000 hours of clinical work with the Edgewood High School and Middle School as the head athletic trainer for the football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball and track and field teams.
The Indiana native earned his bachelor's of arts in athletic training from Anderson University in Anderson, Ind., in May of 2019. During his undergraduate years, Adams earned experience as an athletic training student with a number of teams and organizations including Brown County Health and Living Community, Athletico Physical Therapy, Anderson University varsity sports teams, IU Strength and Conditioning and Central Indiana Orthopedics.
