JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's golf returns from its two-week hiatus after their trip to the Bahamas to play in the Coral Creek Club Invitational hosted by Florida Gulf Coast from Feb. 28-Mar. 1 in Placida, Fla.

- This will be the inaugural meeting of the Coral Creek Club Invitational hosted by FGCU.
- It's only their third tournament as a team in Florida this season and their first since the Sea Best Invitational on Jan. 31.
- The tournament field features 16 teams in which 12 are ranked among the top 100, as well as five teams in the top 50.
- The top teams in this invite are highlighted by No. 18 Texas A&M and No. 27 South Florida, along with No. 40 Kent State.
- There will be five ASUN opponents in this field, including No. 47 Liberty, No. 67 Florida Gulf Coast, No. 91 Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, and Lipscomb.
- This will be the first Par-71 course the Ospreys have played since the Windon Memorial Classic on Sept. 27, 2021.
- The Ospreys will play 36 holes on Monday and conclude the tourney on Tuesday with 18 holes.
- Nick Gabrelcik continues to be the steady force for the Ospreys, as he finished first in the Sea Best Invitational and 10th in the Nexus Championship to start the spring season.
- Robbie Higgins looks to transfer his recent success from New Providence back to the states after turning in the best finish of his career at the Nexus Championship.
- Jason Duff has emerged as a great third option for the Ospreys after scoring a career-best through 54 holes at Sea Best and reaching a career-best finish at the Nexus Championship.
- Davis Lee continues to bring his experience to the table playing his team-leading sixth event on the season.
- Freshman Cooper Smith will make his collegiate debut in the Osprey lineup, as both events he's played this season have been as an individual.
- UNF turned in a third-place finish at the Nexus Championship in the Bahamas with a score of 63-over 927 (307-311-309).
- Higgins was the lead scorer for the Ospreys after tying for a seventh-place finish at 12-over 228 (71-76-81).
- His performance garnered Golfer of the Week recognition by the ASUN, which gave the Ospreys their third-straight GOTW honor of the spring season.
- Gabrelcik also placed within the top 10 in the Bahamas with a score of 14-over 230 (75-79-76) to tie for 10th.
- Duff followed right behind Gabrelcik tied for 12th at 17-over 233 (80-77-76) to give the Ospreys three golfers in the top 15 at the meet.
North Florida will take the course again when they compete in the General Hackler Championship hosted by Coastal Carolina from Mar. 13-14 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
