Leen Leads Ospreys in 81st Overall
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - North Florida women's cross country earned an 18th-place rank at the NCAA South Regional meet on Friday morning. The Ospreys finished one mark higher than last season's race where they finished 19th out of 32 teams.
Isa Leen led the Ospreys for the second time this season with a time of 21:37.4 that earned her 81st overall. Leen quickly moved up 17 slots between the first two checkpoints and put together a great finish that only missed her personal-best record by roughly three seconds.
Emma Jane Schlageter narrowly finished in the top 100, punching in a time at 21:53.2. Schlageter finished her season as a top-two runner for the Ospreys in all five meets on the year.
UNF finished over marquee competitors in the regional meet, such as Georgia, Miss State, UAB, FIU and Memphis. They also placed better than fellow ASUN teams, Stetson and North Alabama.
