Ospreys Set Season-High Mark of 18 Total Shots
CHARLESTON, S.C. - North Florida men's soccer (2-7-4) played shutdown defense for 90 minutes and had opportunities to score on the other end, but couldn't hit pay dirt in a scoreless draw at the College of Charleston (5-6-5) on Tuesday evening.
The Ospreys set a season-high total with 18 shots, including 12 of them coming in the second half, while allowing only four shots total. They also tied their season-best mark of allowing one shot on goal, set earlier this season at FAU.

The Ospreys will shift their focus back into conference play, where they will battle out Liberty at home for a potential spot in the ASUN postseason on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bryson Smith got an early look on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but the shot was blocked and taken out of play.
- LJ Estes had a shot blocked by the Cougars in the 21st minute, followed by another shot that went off target from Dean Walker just moments later.
- A foot was put on a cross in the box by Charleston, but Padraic Gilley guided the ball away from the goal in what was his first shot faced in the 33rd minute of the game.
- Nino Smith shot a laser off his foot, well outside the box in the 38th minute, but it was corralled by the Cougars off the bounce.
- Ospreys had one final chance on offense in the first half, but Malcolm Lewis and Charlie Betts couldn't get their shots on target to end the first half scoreless.
- The second half opened up with a Luto Tom shot in the 52nd minute that just made its way outside the left post.
- A couple minutes afterwards, Bryson Smith turned and ripped a shot but it bounced off the woodwork to keep the score tied.
- Bryson Smith got another chance with a shot on goal, but the keeper made the save at the bottom of the net in the 63rd minute.
- The UNF defense faced back-to-back shots from the Cougars in the 67th minute, but got in the way of both opportunities to maintain the shutout.
- Lewis made another shot on goal after being subbed in the 82nd minute, but the save was made by Charleston.
- The Ospreys had three shots, with one of them on goal, in the final four minutes, but all of them missed their mark to all but lock up the 0-0 scoreless draw in the Ospreys' road finale.
