Gulihur Represents North Florida at Premier National Fall Tennis Event
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis' Kit Gulihur embarks on a second consecutive appearance in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Americans this week in Cary, N.C. as the UNF standout competes in singles play. Gulihur begins qualifying singles play against Holly Staff of Vanderbilt Monday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m.
Gulihur will play in the singles bracket, beginning with the qualifying rounds Monday, Oct. 3 through Tuesday, Oct. 4. The two-time reigning ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year is coming off a year yet to be completed in school history as the graduate student earned the first-ever NCAA Elite 90 honor in program history.
The two-year UNF letterwinner enters the ITA All-Americans ranked No. 43 in the fall preseason ranking announced Sept. 6 after reaching the NCAA Singles Championships in Champaign, Ill. a year ago.
Gulihur is grouped in the Main Draw Singles alternate list alongside student-athletes from schools such as North Carolina, Oklahoma, Miami, Virginia, Pepperdine and others. Gulihur is one of 64 student-athletes that make up the qualifying singles field.
