
Men's Golf Finishes 11th in Return to Windon Memorial Classic

FIRST TEE — Making the program's first appearance in the Windon Memorial Classic since 2006, North Florida men's golf earned an 11th place finish in the 2021 edition of the event following a final round 287 on Tuesday.

- Senior Grant Sutliff carded the low final round of 1-under 70 en route to a T30 performance at 1-over 214
- Senior Cody Carroll wrapped up his season opening tournament with an even-par 71 in the final round | Finished T55 (219)
- Rounding out the Osprey lineup, junior Davis Lee and freshman Cooper Smith both posted final rounds of 75, finishing T47 and T77, respectively
- UNF finished with 171 pars led by 38 on Lee's scorecard
- The Ospreys produced 40 birdies and an eagle (Lee) with Gabrelcik's 11 birdies pacing the team
- North Florida was making its 7th all-time appearance in the Windon Memorial
- Kansas' Davis Cooper captured the medalist crown with a 9-under 204

"It was an interesting week for us. We went to Chicago to get more experience in case we see it in the post season. However, I think we should of played better for sure. We had way too many small mistakes."
