COURSE REPORT: Senior Nathan Jubran once again led the North Florida men's cross country team, as he put together a 22nd place finish in the FSU XC Open.

The ASUN Preseason Runner of the Year ran almost an identical time from when he won the ASUN individual championship. Both times rank in the top eight of fastest 8k finishes in the program's Division I history. UNF finished seventh out of a field of 26 teams.

FINISH LINE

Nathan Jubran finished 22nd with a top 10 program time in the 8k (24:31.0).
Senior Noah Perkins was not far behind Jubran, finishing in 29th place with a time of 24:42.7 and matching his personal-best time from the ASUN Championship in 2017.
Senior Timothy Doyle surged up from 66th in the 3000m checkpoint to finish 45th in the race.
Junior Aidan O'Gorman and sophomore Robert Pedroza round out the top 50 times in the meet with back-to-back finishes for 49th and 50th.

PIGG'S POINTS

"We had a solid day. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't necessarily what we're looking for. This meet was a good starting point, but we're going to go back to work and get better. Nathan [Jubran] led the way with a good performance, Noah [Perkins] was good as well. Timothy [Doyle] probably had his best cross country race ever and he did a great job being the third man.
